Eduardo Velez, Ph.D. (Sociology, University of Illinois). His main interest is the area of Economics of Education. Former World Bank Education Sector Manager for East Asia and the Pacific and for Latin American and the Caribbean, Human Development Sector Leader for China, Human Development Cluster Leader for Uganda and Tanzania, and Principal Education Specialist for Eastern and Southern Africa. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and a Visiting Professor at Kobe University in Japan and at Peking University in Beijing, China. Has published ten books and near 100 articles in professional journals and research reports.
