Agriculture Economist

Elena Mora López is an Agriculture Economist at the World Bank, based in Panama. She leads and supports agriculture operations and analytical work in Panama and across the Latin America and Caribbean region, focusing on improving access to finance and markets for smallholder farmers, food and nutrition security, integrated landscape management and food systems’ sustainability and resilience to climate change. She also serves as the Latin America Coordinator for the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration (FOLUR) Impact Program Global Platform initiative, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and led by the World Bank.

A Spanish national, Elena holds an MBA in International Business Management from the International University Menéndez Pelayo and a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Carlos III of Madrid.
