Eleonora Cavagnero is a Senior Economist at the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population team for West and Central Africa region. She is currently the regional team lead of the Sub-Saharan African Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Project Plus (SWEDD+). She worked in numerous multisectoral projects in Latin America and South Asia where she led both, analytical and operational activities. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked several years for World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva. She studied economics at the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, has master studies from Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and holds a PhD on applied economics from Antwerp University.
