Eliakim Kakpo Eliakim Kakpo is a World Bank country economist for Mali of the Macroeconomics Trade and Investment Global Practice, based in Bamako. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and has authored several academic articles on the incidence of corporate tax policy. Prior to joining the Bank three years ago, Eliakim was a post-doctoral researcher at the Center of Economics Applied to Agriculture and Rural landscapes (CESAER) in France where he studied the interplay between urbanization and local public goods. One of his main interests are on local public finance, taxation, and fragility.
