Eliana Favari is the Regional Research, Analysis and Monitoring Officer for WFP’s Middle East and Northern Africa region (RBC). She is based in Cairo and leading several regional analytics initiatives including the remote food security monitoring (mVAM) surveys, essential needs and food security assessments, urban assessments and targeting in the RBC countries. Prior to working in the RBC, she worked in WFP Rome Headquarters. Eliana has a master degree in Development Studies with a particular focus on the Middle East domestic politics, foreign policy and political economy from University of Turin and a Bachelor in Middle Eastern Studies from University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, Italy.
