Youth Voice Chapter Lead

Eliane Mbende is a development practitioner and a general dentist with almost five years of experience in community development. As a young leader, passionate about public health as well as social and behavior change, she has been involved in human growth and development projects focused on child protection, education, gender equality and health advocacy with local NGOs. She has worked as a UN Online Volunteer for the UNDP “socialprotection.org” platform and more recently contributed to the e-Training Course on Oral Health for Community Health Workers in Africa co-designed by the WHO AFRO Region, the Harvard University Center for African Studies and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Office of Global and Community Health. Thanks to her leadership experience with the World Bank’s Youth Transforming Africa Network, she currently leads the «Cameroon Youth Voices Chapter», a network for Young Cameroonians which role is to empower, inspire, and engage young professionals interested in local and global development issues. 

Eliane Mbende is the winner of the 2020 Blog4Dev competition for Cameroon.
