Elisabeth Sedmik is an Economist at the Education Global Practice of the World Bank, with a regional focus on the Middle East & North Africa. She currently coordinates the education program in Iraq, and also leads education interventions and research in Lebanon. She works on and leads a wide range of education projects, technical assistance and capacity building, including on education service delivery in conflict affected areas, education financing, student assessments, curriculum reform, skills, and education sector governance. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2015, Elisabeth worked for Procter & Gamble and the World Health Organization. Elisabeth holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and Columbia University.
