Elisabeth Steinmayr joined the Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice operations in the East Asia and Pacific Region as a Junior Professional Officer in 2019. She currently focuses her work on integrated landscape management and natural resource management in Cambodia, and supports regional work on sustainable forest landscapes. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked as program officer for East and Southern Africa for an NGO, focusing on long-term solutions and local integration of refugees in host countries, and earlier worked as a rural development consultant for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Elisabeth holds a Master’s degree in Human Development and Food Security from the University Roma Tre, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Vienna.
