Élisé Wendlassida Miningou is an economist in the World Bank Human Development Practice Group, leading research and policy dialogue on education financing and supporting lending operations. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he worked as a researcher with the UNDP, the UN Secretariat, and the International Development Research Group (Groupe de Recherche en Économie et Développement International, GREDI) in Canada. He published several research and policy papers on various topics including the efficiency of education spending, the external efficiency and relevance of the education system,  learning outcomes inequality, foreign direct investments, and the effectiveness of development aid. Élisé holds a Ph.D. in development economics from the University of Sherbrooke and specialized in computable general equilibrium modeling, distributional analysis, and applied econometrics.
