Elitza joined the World Bank in 2013, taking on a new professional challenge as a macroeconomist at the Jakarta office. In addition to economic monitoring, forecasting and policy analysis, she has led the macro work streams of a capacity-building program at the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia. Prior to joining the World Bank, Elitza was an economist at the European Central Bank. At the height of the global financial crisis, she found herself working on non-standard measures to inject liquidity at the ECB’s market operations department. Later, she moved on to the emerging market research desk. She has a Doctorate degree in economics and a Masters in international political economy and development, both from Fordham University in New York.
