Ella Humphry is an Education Specialist in the Global Knowledge and Innovation Unit of the World Bank’s Education Global Practice. She is a member of the World Bank’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) team and works on several global initiatives that support the expansion of the World Bank’s ECD portfolio. She also provides technical advice to World Bank teams and governments on implementing ECD programs. She has spent almost half of her career living and working in low- and middle-income countries in South Asia, Africa and East Asia and has a special interest in supporting ECD in fragile and conflict affected situations. Prior to the World Bank, she worked for the Australian Federal Government. She holds a MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in International Policy and International Economics and a BS in Psychology with a focus on child development from Curtin University.
