Emiliano Magrini

Economist in the Markets and Trade Division at the FAO

Emiliano Magrini is an economist in the Markets and Trade Division (EST) at the FAO. His research focuses on the analysis of agricultural commodity prices, the effects of price volatility and income risk on poverty and vulnerability, and the development of macro- and micro-econometric approaches for ex-post impact evaluations of agricultural and food policies. His work has been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals, including World Development, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Food Policy, and Energy Economics, among others. He holds a Ph.D. in International Monetary and Financial Markets from the University of Rome “Sapienza” (Italy) and an MSc in International Economics from the University of Sussex (UK).
