Emily Weedon is a senior social protection specialist with the Africa Region of the Social Protection and Jobs (SPJ) Global Practice of the World Bank Group. She is task team leader for the Bank’s SPJ portfolio in Zambia, focusing on human capital development, particularly in terms of women’s empowerment, and productive inclusion. She has supported government policy development and interventions on similar topics across eastern, southern, and western Africa. Her work also focuses on qualitative research on productive inclusion. Emily has a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a Master’s degree from the George Washington University.
