Senior Urban Specialist

Eric Dickson serves as a Senior Urban Development and Disaster Risk Management Specialist in the World Bank’s office in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where he coordinates the Bank’s urban portfolio across 29 cities and towns. Eric has over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience in urban development, disaster risk management, and water supply and sanitation. Since joining the Bank, Eric has held positions in the Water Anchor, Urban Anchor, in Latin America where was engaged in the Bank's program on urban development and disaster risk management in Colombia, Jamaica, Belize, and Peru. Eric brings experience on a range of issues at both national and subnational levels encompassing urban upgrading, transit-oriented development, and disaster risk identification, reduction, and financing.
