Erick Abiassi, a Benin national, joined the World Bank Group in 2010 and is currently holding the position of Senior Agriculture Economist within the Agriculture and Food Global Practice for Western and central Africa. He has led a range of operations in agriculture as well as sector and policy dialogue across many countries in West Africa. Prior to joining the Bank, he served as Senior Rural Development Program Officer with UNDP and IFAD (2007 to 2010). From 2002 to 2007, he served as Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin.
