Erik is a Manila-based communications consultant, where he specializes in governance, fragility and conflict, and economic transitions. He has previously worked in Washington DC, El Salvador, and Tunisia. He has a particular interest in access to information and government accountability, areas in which he focused in several Arab Spring transition countries. Prior to joining the World Bank, Erik worked as a freelance journalist and as a communications specialist with several international development agencies, including the African Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
