Erina Mahmud is a Research Associate at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development. She is currently working in the Citizen Engagement component of the Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project initiated by the Government of Bangladesh and funded by the World Bank. Apart from assisting in project implementation, she researches on the implementation process and challenges.
Erina holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) from Asian University for Women (AUW). At BIGD, Erina also investigates social movements and has contributed in the institute’s signature publication “State of Governance 2018: State of Social Accountability and Deliberative Democracy in Bangladesh.” She routinely publishes in the areas of collective action, South Asian security, and refugee rights.
