Esteban Ferro, a consultant in the Trade and International Integration Unit of the Development Research Group, has been working for the World Bank since 2009. His research has focused on evaluating the importance of quality certifications and product standards for trade, as well as firms’ characteristics that are consistent with export success. His current research is related to global value chains; specifically studying the role of imported inputs on exporter performance. He holds a PhD in International Economics from the International Business School at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
