Eva Gutierrez is a Lead Financial Sector Specialist in the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank Group for the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region.
She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Boston and a Master in Financial Economics from the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI) of the Banco de España Foundation. Until the end of 2008 he worked as an Economist Sr. in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He is currently a Leading Financial Specialist for Latin America at the World Bank and coordinates the entire portfolio of operations of the Finance and Development Sector of the Private Sector that includes the departments of Investment Climate, Competitive Industries, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship in addition to the Department of Financial Systems . He has published several articles on various economic and financial topics including studies on competitiveness in the European Union and in Macedonia, regional development in the region of Murcia (Spain).
