Ewa Sobczynska is a Senior Social Development Specialist in the Social Sustainability and Inclusion Global Practice of the World Bank’s South Asia Region. She has over 18 years of experience in international development and finance, with expertise in social inclusion, climate change, and environmental sustainability. At the World Bank, she leads and contributes to high-profile analytical work, supports financing operations through the design of results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation systems, and technical advice and policy dialogue on social risk management. Her work spans South and East Asia, Africa, the European Union, and Europe and Central Asia regions. Ewa has also worked with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), European Investment Bank (EIB), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), focusing on climate, impact evaluation, and results measurement. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from Georgetown University and graduate certificates in Monitoring & Evaluation, Humanitarian Emergencies, and Corporate Sustainability and Innovation.
