Nelson Eduardo is a Senior Economist in the Economic Policy Global Department of the World Bank in the the Eastern and Southern Africa Region, where he contributes to policy-based lending, macroeconomic monitoring, policy dialogue, and analytical tasks. He has joined the World Bank as Local Economist for Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe since 2018. Nelson is also a part-time lecturer at the Catholic University of Angola, in which he has lectured Development Economics, Macroeconomics, and currently Industrial Organization. Nelson received his master´s degree in Economics from the University of Porto (Portugal) in 2021, and a master´s degree in Business Economics from the Catholic University of Porto (Portugal) in 2015. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked in Angola banking sector since 2010. Nelson´s main areas of interest are macro-fiscal policy, growth diagnostics and structural reforms, macroeconomic modelling, and productivity analysis.
