Fadila Caillaud is the World Bank’s Regional Manager for Education and Skills across the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. She leads strategic engagement with 22 countries and oversees a portfolio worth more than US$5 billion of investment, driving transformative reforms in education and skills development.
With over 20 years of global experience, Fadila has led large-scale Human Development programs and built trusted partnerships with senior government officials in more than 20 countries—ranging from low- to high-income—across Africa, MENA, and Europe. Her published work explores critical themes such as financing and governance reforms, early childhood development, decentralization and school-based management
Fadila holds a Ph.D. in Macroeconomics from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics, a Master’s in International Education from La Sorbonne University, and a BA in Economics from Paris Dauphine University.
