Fanny Weiner is a Senior Public Sector Management Specialist based in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Her current work focuses on supporting the Government of Lao PDR in modernizing their public financial management and strengthening public institutions through a broad World Bank support program covering both expenditure and revenue management. Before her assignment in Lao PDR, Fanny worked in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region focusing on corporate governance of state-owned enterprises in Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador and the Caribbean, and through cross-support in Zimbabwe and the Seychelles. Fanny holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and previously graduated from the University of Bremen, Germany in International Economics.
