Farah Yamin Khan is a consultant working with the Disaster Risk Management team at the World Bank in Pakistan. Currently based in Karachi, she assists with the Bank’s projects pertaining to flood emergency response in Sindh. She focuses on the operation and expansion of emergency rescue services and institutionalizing resilient recovery in the Sindh province. Prior to joining the World Bank, Farah worked as a civil servant and a lawyer. Her interest to improve policies and service delivery in Sindh emanates from her experience as a civil servant with the Sindh Government, including her assignment with the chief minister’s office. Farah holds an LLB degree from the London School of Economics, Bar-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
