Farwah Qasim is a Gender/Gender Based Violence (GBV) specialist in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region of the World Bank. During her eight years at the World Bank, she has contributed to various operational and analytical activities focused on GBV reduction, social cohesion, and Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) including in fragile, and conflict affected settings in Africa and the ECA region. Prior to joining the Bank, she has worked at international and local NGOs on gender equality, monitoring and evaluation and community-driven development across South Asia, Caribbean, and East Asia Pacific regions. She holds a Master of International Development Studies (IDS) specializing in gender studies from the George Washington University.
