Fatimata Deme is a student in the Department of Legal and Political Sciences at Aube Nouvelle University in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, specializing in International Business Law. She is also a young ambassador for peace at Equal Access, a non-governmental organization, and was treasurer in 2019. Additionally, Fatimata is a volunteer at the Centre for Democratic Governance and a participant of the young African leader’s initiative program.
Among her extracurricular activities, she has been involved in a micro-finance institution helping women traders. Fatimata is passionate about intellectual property rights and plans to pursue a master’s degree in intellectual property law, as she sees their importance in contributing to the improvement of trade and business.
