Fatma Al Ibrahim is a World Bank Group Operations Analyst for the GCC based in the Kuwait Country Office. Fatma has more than 10 years of experience working for the World Bank RAS program. She also engages in the private sector development and public sector reform agenda in Kuwait and the GCC. Fatma completed an external assignment with the United Nations as a Junior Professional Officer in Geneva. She was part of the team Implementing the UN OCHA’s resource mobilization strategy and led Geneva-based discussions to promote MENA and GCC donor efforts including coordinating the Yemen Pledging Conference in 2018. Earlier in her career, she worked in investment banking on PPP & BOT transactions and served in Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development as a research associate.
Fatma studied Finance and Economics at the American University of Paris before obtaining her masters’ degree in public policy from the London School of Economics. She lived and worked in Kuwait, London, Paris, and Geneva.
