Project management specialist at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

Felipe Males is an Ecuadorian economist who works as a project management specialist at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He has served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), where he produced reports and supported operations for the Labor Markets and Competitiveness, Technology & Innovation divisions, respectively. Additionally, he participated in the evaluation of the 2022 national census and conducted statistical studies for Ecuador as part of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

At the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Felipe also analyzed the quality of public spending for all local governments in Ecuador. In 2024, the Organization of American States (OAS) appointed Felipe as the South American representative and a member of the working group responsible for monitoring the American Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Felipe holds a master's degree in applied economics from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He was also accepted into the Master of Public Policy program at the University of Chicago.
