Felipe Sgarbi is a Senior Energy Specialist at the Brazil Office of the Latin America and Caribbean region. Prior to joining the Bank, he served as a Climate Risk and Adaptation Coordinator at WayCarbon, a climate change consultancy. In this role, Felipe successfully managed projects for energy companies in Brazil, helping them navigate the challenges posed by climate change. Before his time at WayCarbon, Felipe worked at Instituto Acende Brasil, a prominent Brazilian think tank specializing in regulatory and socioeconomic issues within the power sector. His contributions to the institute involved engaging in discussions and analysis of the challenges faced by the power sector in Brazil. Felipe holds a PhD and an MSc in Energy from the University of São Paulo, where he gained in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field.
