Fen Wei is a consultant with the Urban unit of the Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience Global Practice (GSURR) of the World Bank. She currently works on urban projects related to local governance and solid waste management in Bangladesh, India, and Nepal. Prior to her current position, she served as a sustainable development consultant with the United Nations. While working at the U.N. in New York, she published and presented the “Compendium of Good Practices in Sustainable Tourism,” a guiding document disseminated in the international sustainable tourism community. Before pursuing her passion in international development, she applied her economist background on energy policy research and market development for the private sector, with an emphasis on China, Indonesia, and Singapore.
