Fernanda Martinez is a post-doc at the RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research in Germany, where she is part of the “Migration and Integration” research group. She has also worked as a consultant in the Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) unit at the World Bank. Her main research interests are development, migration, and education economics. Her research analyses how migration and education policies impact development outcomes such as poverty, schooling, and gender equality. She received her PhD and M.Sc. in Economics from the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) and her BA in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Mexico).
