Fiseha Haile is the World Bank Senior Country Economist for Mozambique (based in Maputo), responsible for a range of budget support, technical assistance, and analytical programs. He has previously spent time based in Washington DC where he led analytical products and lending operations across a range of countries in West Africa. Fiseha has previously worked as a consultant in the Tanzania and Ethiopia World Bank offices. He began his career as a university lecturer in Economics in Ethiopia. He has written extensively on macroeconomics, development economics, and applied econometrics. Fiseha holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
