Florence Nimoh is an Associate Economist at UNHCR's East Africa and Great Lakes Regional Bureau, based in Kenya. She holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics from Université Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a PhD in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her research focuses on development economics, poverty, and welfare analysis, particularly concerning forcibly displaced persons. Previously, she was a Young African Fellow in the World Bank-UNHCR program on forced displacement and served as a consultant for the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice, collaborating closely with UNHCR’s Division of Resilience and Solutions.
