Florencia Devoto was a consultant in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice at the World Bank. Since she joined J-PAL in 2006, she has been participating in several impact evaluations in Morocco in the areas of microcredit, education and access to water. Her current research focuses on access to microcredit, female labor force participation and education. She holds a PhD from the Paris School of Economics and an MPA/International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
