Florencia Sánchez Zunino is a Climate Change Analyst with the World Bank’s Carbon Markets and Innovation team. She provides technical assistance to client countries to increase the adoption of innovative market-based climate instruments to mobilize financing and increase ambition. Before joining the Bank, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Sustainability at the University of Maryland. Previously, Florencia worked as a Sustainability Leader in Fundación Chile, managing multi-sector projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and circular economy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Florencia has a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s in Business and Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
