Florent Baarsch is an economist specialized in climate change. He pursued his doctoral studies at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and CESifo in Germany. He collaborated with the World Bank in the IDA-17 multi-sectoral investment plan project in Africa and provided trainings on the quantitative integration of climate change in development and macroeconomic planning. He also worked for IFAD, where he focused on the integration of climate change in agricultural investments. He founded finres, a startup, in 2019 to support investors and decision-makers become more resilient to climate change.
