Ana Florina Pirlea is a statistician in the World Bank’s Development Data Group, where she works on the World Development Indicators and the creation of data-driven narratives.
Her work focuses on data communication and visualization. She is also involved in database management, particularly indicators related to business environment, infrastructure, and governance.
Prior to her current role, she worked on private sector development and competitiveness projects in the Europe & Central Asia region at the World Bank, and in the Statistics Department at the International Monetary Fund.
Florina holds a Master’s in International Economics and International Law from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Psychology from Bryn Mawr College.
