Francis Ngomba Bodi is the Country Economist for Cameroon since November 2023 when he joined the Bank. Based in Yaounde, Cameroon, he is co-leading the macroeconomic analysis, the preparation of flagship reports and analytical pieces, and economic policy dialogue. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked as a Research Economist in the Research and Monetary Policy Department and the Governor’s Office of the Central Bank of Central African States (BEAC). He also delivered some courses on macroeconomic modelling and economic policy at the Central African School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISSEA). He has gained a deep knowledge of developing countries challenges, and a solid experience in economic policy formulation, fiscal and monetary issues, tax and debt policies, drafting research papers. Francis holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Dschang, Cameroon, and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from University of Rennes 1, France.
