Francisco Winter is a Social Development Consultant at the World Bank's Social Sustainability and Inclusion (SSI) Global Practice, where he is supporting the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) team and the dialogue with LAC governments, and supervising the budget and operations of projects being implemented globally. In addition, he supports the Social Inclusion team at SSI with engagement, technical support, and dialogue with youth. A Chilean national, he has a business degree, a minor in innovation and a master's degree in international relations.
Francisco joined the World Bank in 2017, alongside the opening of the institution's first representative office in Chile. Since then, he has helped strengthen the work of the World Bank in various areas such as inclusion with SOGI people and youth, fair trade and innovation, decentralization, social protection, climate change, and green hydrogen. He is also co-leading the Youth Transforming LAC Network and is a member of the Global Youth Coalition of the World Bank Group.
