Frank van Cappelle is the head of UNICEF’s Global Learning Innovation Hub in Finland and the global lead for digital education. In this role, he shapes UNICEF’s vision and strategy on digital learning, learning innovation, and the digital transformation of education systems. The Hub is driven by a dual mission: to harness innovations to address the global learning crisis and to shape the future of learning now.
Frank holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Melbourne. Before joining UNICEF, he worked in academia, at UNESCO, and for various other UN agencies. He also founded a data visualization software company, helping UN agencies, universities, and governments worldwide make better use of their data.
