Fred Nalugoda PhD MHSc is Scientific Officer and Program Director of the Rakai Health Services Program (RHSP) in Kampala, Uganda. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and a BStat in Statistics and Demography from Makerere University, and an MHSc in Demography, Epidemiology and Reproductive Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. His research has focused on the control of HIV/AIDS through intervention trials; addressing the burden of HIV, family structure and stability in rural households; and reproductive health and the prevention of gender-based violence among adolescents and youth as it relates to HIV prevention strategies.
