Frieda Vandeninden is an economist with a specialization in social protection policies. She has worked with the World Bank since 2012 on a wide range of social protection topics. She has provided Governments technical assistance and trainings on social protection performance, participated to social protection policy dialogue, conducted field data collection, and contributed to the management of the Atlas of Social Protection Indicators of Resilience and Equity (ASPIRE). Vandeninden is the author and co-author of social safety nets assessments, public expenditure reviews and reports on labour market barriers and activation. Alongside this work, she conducts academic research focused on the evaluation of social protection policies at the University of Liege and the United Nations University in Maastricht. Vandeninden holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University.
