Fulbert Tchana Tchana is a Lead country economist at the World Bank in the Equitable Growth, Finance and Institution (EFI) Practice Group. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Montreal in 2008. Before joining the Bank in 2013, he held many positions in academia and public administration. He was an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics of the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He also taught at universities, including the University of Montreal, the University of Sherbrook in Canada, and the University of Western Cape in South Africa. In addition, he was the leading Macro-Modeling Specialist at the Quebec Department of Finance and an economist at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Cameroon. His research areas are financial economics, macroeconomics, and applied econometrics. He has published articles in academic journals, including the World Bank Economic Review, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Applied Economics, the Emerging Markets Review, and the Journal of Risk.
