Gaël Raballand is practice manager for Governance Global Practice in West Africa. He holds a PhD in economics from Sorbonne University and degrees in political science and international public law. He co-authored several World Bank books and several academic papers on trade, transport and customs issues. He is now based in Dakar after having been based for 5 years in East Africa working mostly on Somalia. One of his main interests are on fragile states, taxation and anti-corruption.
