Commissioner Yari holds a MA in Human Rights from Columbia University and BA in Middle Eastern and Gender Studies from University of Virginia. She is on the Appeals Board of IARCSC with a goal to ensure that civil servants' rights are protected in civil service management. Additionally, her portfolio is women protection and increasing women in the Civil Service of Afghanistan. She is also a writer, an active speaker and a human rights activist in the Middle East, more focused on Afghanistan.
