Garrett Tate is a senior data scientist with New Light Technologies, currently developing machine learning algorithms to aid U.S. disaster response and conducting research on conflict, mental health, and global economic development. He has previously worked as a professor in Earth and Environmental Sciences and in the energy industry, and he holds a Ph.D. in Geosciences from Princeton University.
