Geoffroy Groleau is an economist with 16 years of experience. This includes 10 years designing, delivering and supporting international development projects, as well as 6 years in public sector management at the national level. Since 2012, as Senior Technical Advisor - Governance he has been leading and managing a team of advisors supporting a portfolio of projects centered on local governance, social accountability, and basic service delivery. From 2009 to 2012, as Public Expenditure Management Advisor, he designed and implemented projects to strengthen public sector management in Haiti, Morocco and Senegal for an international development consultancy. He worked previously with UNDP in Haiti on a community security project, as well as UNICEF in Chad where he supported a humanitarian and development program. Geoffroy started his career as an Economist working on budgetary management and fiscal policy with the Department of Finance Canada. He also later worked on the regulation of public energy utilities. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Sherbrooke and an MA in Economics from Queen’s University.
