Gilbert is a strategic communications consultant with the World Bank, supporting Creative Industries and Education initiatives. He brings extensive experience in reputation management, corporate and crisis communication, social advocacy, and sustainability.
Before joining the Bank, Gilbert worked across private, non-profit, and multilateral organizations. His communications career began after an award-winning stint in journalism, evolving into roles at leading consultancies in Nigeria, where he managed communication campaigns for global and regional brands in e-commerce, financial services, agriculture, consumer electronics, FMCG, telecoms, and digital payments.
A member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (UK), Gilbert has previously worked for Coca-Cola HBC and Wakanow. He is recognized as one of Africa’s leading voices on insights-led communication measurement and evaluation frameworks that shape strategy and impact and has spoken at multiple industry convenings.
