Giorgio Valentini is World Bank Representative in Honduras. An italian national, he joined the Bank in 2004 in the Information Solutions Group. Since then, he has worked for the Latin America and Africa regions in areas such as modernization, health care, judicial reform, public-private partnerships, social protection and tax administration, among others.
Prior to his position in Honduras, he served as the representative of Guyana, located in Georgetown from March 2009 to March 2011, and Jamaica, Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, located in Kingston, since March 2011. Valentini holds a Masters in Business Administration, Corporate Strategy and Finance from the George Washington University.
