Giovanni Tonutti

Giovanni Tonutti is a Research Analyst at the Development Data Group, World Bank, working primarily on data analysis for the International Comparison Program (ICP) and the Food Prices for Nutrition project. Giovanni is a PhD candidate, awaiting to discuss his final thesis, in Data Science at the Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa, Italy. He is also a member of the Camillo Dagum Centre of Advanced Statistics for Equitable and Sustainable Development. His research focuses on quantitative studies related to sub-national spatial consumer price indexes, poverty and social policy. Before joining the World Bank, he worked as a data and policy analyst for Policy in Practice, a public-sector consultancy and policy think-tank in London, and specialized in welfare and social policy analysis. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Politics with Economics at the University of Bath (UK) and a postgraduate degree in Public Policy at the University College London.
